Virtual Breathwork

In these sessions, I will guide you to connect your inhale and exhale in an unbroken wave of breath. This type of breath brings more oxygen into your body than you normally receive which leads you into an enlivened meditative state. Most people also experience physical sensations such as body tingling, tetany (or muscle contractions), and a somatic release of emotions.

The breathing alone does not result in emotional resolution, though it can trigger the emotions and sensations from past trauma. The breath creates a complete circuit of energy in the body which enables you to feel what is already present.

How to Prepare

Set yourself up in a dimly lit, quiet, private, safe space.

If you are comfortable doing so, set up your camera so that I can see your body once you are laying down.

Lay down on a yoga mat or floor mattress (couches and beds can often be too squishy or comfortable for you to get into the breath properly)

I recommend using headphones so that you can be immersed in the music and hear my cues.

You may want a pillow or two behind your shoulders or knees. Bring a blanket/layers as your temperature may fluctuate.

Avoid eating 1 hour before the session. Make sure to use the bathroom and not overhydrate beforehand so that you aren't interrupted.
